Since 2000, when Clement & Weise started their atelier in Bubenreuth, Paul Wiessmeyer LLC has been the exclusive distributor of their instruments in North America.
On 01/01/2010, the workshop of Clement & Weise was dissolved. On behalf of Klaus Clement , Hagen Weise and Paul Wiessmeyer Violins, I would like to express my appreciation for your support during the last ten years.
As you are all well aware, primarily because of globalization, a 200 year old central European tradition is slowly coming to an end. There remain just a few violin shops in Germany capable of making quality instruments for export at affordable prices. Both Hagen Weise and Klaus Clement want to continue in this German tradition. Hagen Weise is now directly marketing and distributing his instruments. Klaus Ludwig Clement has requested that I continue to represent and distribute his instruments in North America.
